Writer’s block…

June 23, 2006

I’m currently suffering from a servere case of writer’s block.  I have about seven half completed posts sitting in my drafts box.  To be honost I’m having a little trouble even finishing these few sentences.

It happens……don’t sweat it. I’ve gone a couple of weeks without posting before because I just didn’t have anything to say. Then other times I’ve written every other day.

    Don’t stress….it will come back……. and, may I suggest a book
“Writing Your Heart Out”…….it wakes up my muse at times when I think she has deserted me forever.

I know exactly how you feel on that. I considered shutting down my 2 year old blog. But I decided that I had just lost motivation. So I had to wait it out, and sooner or later it all came back. Just post on what you feel like.

I used to go out and about and look at everything I did that day, or inspired me that day, and write about it later on that night. Wether it’s somethin you hear on talk radio, or just an idea that pops in yer head.

This is going to sound really pointless but bare with me a second. Watch a John Wayne Western or something old school, I suggest, who shot liberty Valence, eat a steak or a thick burger drink a beer or three people watch somewhere cool, I would suggest tailgating at a college football game. Work out really hard sleep wake up drink a coffee and ponder what it all means. Freedom that is, our culture etc. If you still can’t write trying people watching something innocent like children or dogs at play it’s amazing how watching dogs chase each other around makes me smile same with really little kids. I was walking to my car at my gym yesterday and some really little kids were practicing soccer it was pretty hilarious and the over ridding feeling I felt was God what a great country. Here we are in full Fall effect, leaves have turned etc. Despite the entire endless amount of BS the for profit news culture throws at you, cut it off for a while and get some fresh input from some sources that are agenda free.

Any way if nothing else you can’t go wrong recharging your batteries just chilling for a few. Reduces the pressure.

TGIF and it’s Univ of South Carolina vs Tenn on Game day in my neck of the woods.

I would say GO Cocks but that’s just not PC anymore ……

So I’ll just say Simper Fi, I hope you can actually get some down time if not carry on as best you can.

Got something to say?
